Managing Partner
Alec co-founded Epic Funds in 2021. Alec is responsible for setting the firm’s vision and investment strategy. He has nearly a decade of experience crafting private market portfolios for institutional and family office clients. Alec holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Denver. -
Partner
Jimmy co-founded Epic Funds in 2021 and leads the firm’s investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management efforts. Jimmy gained credit trading experience at UBS and Aesir, and investment banking experience at Envisage. Jimmy has a B.A. in Political Science from USC. -
Partner
Michael co-founded Epic Funds in 2021 and leads the firm’s operations. Michael helped build new business lines at Uber and successfully completed a series of business transformations while a management consultant at PwC. He is a member of the UCLA Economics Department, leading primary research engagements with Master of Quantitative Economics candidates. Michael has a B.S. in Business Economics from UCLA. -
Fund Controller
John joined Epic Funds in 2022 and serves as fund controller. He brings a wealth of experience in fund accounting and financial reporting to the role. Previously, John held controllership roles at Behring Capital and Antares Capital, and he gained significant experience in public accounting during his tenure at KPMG. He holds both M.S. and B.A. degrees in Accounting from James Madison University. -
Investment Associate
Alyssa joined Epic Funds in 2023. She is responsible for investment underwriting and monitoring. Her background includes experience in capital call facilities, NAV lending, and secondary investing from her time with SMBC and Unigestion. She holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University. -
Director, Investor Solutions
Valentine joined Epic Funds in 2023. He is responsible for investor relations and client engagement. Prior to joining Epic Funds, Valentine was a Vice President at Abbott Capital. Before Abbott Capital, Valentine held positions at Schroders Capital, Capital Dynamics, Vontobel Asset Management, Brookfield Asset Management, and JPMorgan. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Securities Professionals - New York Chapter and is a Public Pension Plan Trustee for the Town of Surfside, Florida. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from SUNY Old Westbury.
